COMPASS’s mission is to champion, connect, and support diverse science leaders for the well-being of people and nature. We are pleased to welcome Justin Kenney to the Board of Directors to help us further this mission. Currently senior adviser on climate, energy and environment with the United Nations Foundation, Justin has deep experience in strategic communication and elevating solutions. Previously, Justin worked for NOAA (under the Obama Administration), the White House Council on Environmental Quality (under the Clinton Administration), the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Walton Family Foundation.
Justin shared “The decisions we make today will determine the kind of world we leave for our children. At the heart of a healthy planet is science, and COMPASS’s work in helping scientists become better communicators is more important than ever.”
The COMPASS Board is chaired by Dr. Mary Ruckelshaus. Other board members are Vikki Spruill, Dr. Steve Gaines, Lynn Scarlett, Dr. Jessica Hellmann, and Dr. Faisal Moola.
