Seattle Workshop Scholarship Information

COMPASS can provide a limited number of full scholarships waiving the registration fee to attend this event, focused around our mission of championing, connecting, and supporting diverse science leaders for the well-being of people and nature. We are committed to removing barriers for science communication training, particularly for those from historically underrepresented groups in science.


Applications are due February 24th. Successful applicants will be notified by February 28th.


To be considered for one of these scholarships, you need to:

  • Be working on or studying environmental topics

  • Be working with or studying science

  • Fill out the Google form at this link with:

    • Email

    • Name

    • Institution/Organization/Affiliation

    • Title/Position

    • Brief paragraph about how your work or field of study contributes to the well-being of people and nature and how this training would enhance your ability to do so.


For example, a city planner whose work focuses on urban sustainability or a public health official working on environmental health topics such as air quality would be eligible. Scholarships do not cover travel or lodging costs.
