Policy shapes public life in many ways, and often is a necessary part of lasting change. Accurate information is vital to good public policy, but often people’s understanding of policy pathways starts and stops at elections. Yet there are many, many more ways to get involved in public policy, at all levels of governance!
This workshop takes a closer look at the variety of roles that people can play in the policy process, with an emphasis on accurately communicating science and knowledge.

This workshop is for anyone who is interested in doing more to contribute to evidence-based decision-making and public policy.
Technology
The workshop will be held on the video conferencing platform Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with the platform, this one-minute video explains how to join a meeting. You will need a webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection. Recommended upload/download speed is 5Mbps/5Mbps.
