When your time is limited — and the person you’re meeting with may not be familiar with your work— a well-prepared one-pager can make all the difference. It helps you start the conversation on the right foot, reinforces your message after the meeting, and can be shared with others to expand your reach.
A strong one-pager captures the heart of your idea, project, or proposal onto a single page, offering just enough information to spark interest or help your audience take the next step. But fitting your messages into one page — without overwhelming or underwhelming your audience — is no easy task.
In this interactive, three-hour workshop, you’ll receive feedback on your one-pager draft and learn how to:
- distill complex information into a clear, concise format,
- apply basic design principles to guide your reader’s attention, and
- utilize aspects of a great one-pager to make your one-pager stand out in a sea of competing materials.
Whether you are meeting with a policymaker, reaching out to a funder, or providing community members with important safety guidelines, a strong one pager can move your message forward. We’ll show you how.

Technology
The workshop will be held on the video conferencing platform Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with the platform, this one-minute video explains how to join a meeting. You will need a webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection. Recommended upload/download speed is 5Mbps/5Mbps.
