Learn how to introduce yourself and your work to people in ways that are clear and meaningful.
We all want to make a good first impression, which might be why it can feel so hard to talk about yourself and your work with others. Being able to introduce yourself appropriately, confidently, and engagingly is a skill that will serve you well in any group, but there’s more to it than just talking about yourself for a minute or two—and there are some common self-introduction mistakes that can make it harder to achieve your communication goals. We’ll dig deeper into what can help you show up the way you want to, and have the conversations you’re hoping for.
During this 3-hour live virtual workshop, you will:
- Learn about different types of self-introductions, and how to match yours to the setting/situation
- Develop your own draft self-introduction
- Practice sharing your self-introduction and receive feedback on it
By registering for this workshop, you are agreeing to use a webcam during discussion and breakout room portions of the workshop. Please also commit to actively participating for the benefit of yourself and the group. Due to the progression of materials presented and the paired exercises, we cannot admit participants who are more than 15 minutes late. More information can be found in the FAQ page on our website.
