COMPASS and Wilburforce Foundation are thrilled to announce the 2023 cohort of Wilburforce Leaders in Conservation Science! Chosen from an incredibly strong pool of applicants, these 20 wonderful humans share a spirit of generosity and a passion for contributing to conservation solutions that are grounded in both Indigenous knowledge and western science and that center the well-being of people, land, and wildlife across multiple geographical and geopolitical landscapes.

Over the course of this 9 month-long program, they will work together to develop strategic goals, strengthen internal and external skills needed for changemaking work, and build a deeply connected community, bound together by shared objectives. Joining the vibrant, tight-knit network of Wilburforce Leaders, they’ll forge meaningful, lifelong relationships that will support them to re-imagine what it means to work in conservation.

We are truly honored for the opportunity to support this newest cohort of Wilburforce Leaders on their journeys. We encourage you to download their bios to get to know them and follow along as we share more about them once the program is underway!
